Notit does not run a notes backend, does not sell personal data, and does not require a subscription. Notes are Markdown files stored in the GitHub repository selected by the user.

Privacy

The app stores notes locally and in the user's GitHub account. GitHub login and optional ChatGPT/GitHub integrations are controlled by the user.

Data

Notit does not collect note contents, payment data, contacts, precise location, health data, or advertising identifiers.

Compliance

The project is open source and designed to be auditable. Website analytics, if enabled, are aggregate page metrics only.
